History of Audio-Technica

Audio-Technica began business doing the same thing they continue to do now, sell audio equipment. The company was developed by Hideo Matsushita in Japan in the year 1962 and launches the AT-1 and AT-3 MM phone cartridges. In the year 1969, Audio-Technica starts selling phone cartridges internationally., and in 1972 Audio-Technica starts business in the U.S in Akron, Ohio.
